Not the best photo but this thing is amazing! I can't wait to get some eggs in it!

I can't wait to eventually build my own cabinet incubator. For now I have the hova bator with a turner and a little giant hatcher. The way my flock is growing though, I'm going to need a much bigger set up for next year lol.

The best digital thermostat is the STC-1000.

Its in centigrade

Its sold under a few brand names but make sure it is STC-1000. There are some other thermostats that look the same but do not perform as well for incubators.

It features a built in relay

It has both heating and cooling functions - We just dont wire or program the cooling. For an incubator, connect to ports 5 and 6 instead of 7 and 8

OKay I need some opinions. I am looking into getting a new incubator, in the past I have used silkies and I have a cheapy from Tractor Supply that I used last year a couple times. This year when I hatch I want to hatch more and I have been looking into 2 different kinds the reptipro6000 and the rcom suro. I like the rcom the best but the listing says it needs a 110v transformer to run in the US what in the world is that and does anyone own or have any opinions on either of these 2. Also does anyone have any suggestions for a nice priced one not mentioned. I was thinking about making my own but I don't trust myself lol

I am surprised you cant get a 110v version but I use 110-220v converters routinely

this one is fine

Make sure you understand warranty ob the bators

We are changing the thermostat in our incubator this weekend to get ready for the Hatch A Long! I love hatching chicks. Best feeling in the world! This is my first Hatch A Long! Very excited! We use an old drink cooler. I will have to post pics once we get her cleaned up!

your pictures are very nice. I would like to make one similar to yours. I'm still looking for the old drink cooler / wine chiller though. I don't want to pay full price for one.

Is this the one you are thinking needs something special?

I think if you order it from them it comes ready for US outlets.

AS for the transformers, there are lots of options. Some are for plugging a US outlet into a different electrical outlet such as the ones found in Argentina. Others are for going the exact opposite direction.
Here is a link to a cheap transformer on Amazon. I think it is the kind you don't need for the incubator but would need for traveling outside the US.
