Well, I've just lined up some olive egger eggs for myself this year :D I've been meaning to get some for a couple years so I'm happy I've finally done it, lol.

I did just one and I was hatching for someone else ostly. I think I might have had 2 dozen of my eggs and the rest were from a friend. I own the last two living birds from his flock now. Sadly none of his blue and green layers survived the coyotes. Here's the pic.

It's fun to try...if nothing else just to say that you did.
93 eggs is the most I've done.

I don't know how many they committed to but I can imagine it was a ton lol.

63 eggs was a lot for you also, did you do it in one or 2 incubators?

I cant remember how many eggs was my largest amount set (I think it was 87 or 89) I remember it was a lot and double stacked lol
Here is a picture of my jam packed incubator last year.

Did you really hatch them all in that thing.

WOW nice pullet hatches! Of course when you want pullets you don't get them, obviously same goes for when you really want the males... and nothing lol.

Haha yup :gig

Also, I have had horrible luck with all chicken colors except neutral colors. Of all the chicks, I have hatched, there was only the colors of gold and a brown, both with issues. The gold is really mean, and the brown one acts 'retarded'. It's definatly not me, but all the eggs I have ever hatched came from a person who doesn't take the best care of her birds . I will be hatching other eggs this time. :jumpy

I'm doing a staggered hatch right now. I have 24 that went in on the 10th. Another 16 went in on the 17th, and I have another Dz that I need to find room for in there this weekend.

I set 108 at the NYD Hatch Along. Hatched 66/67 can't remember which. That's the most that I ever set at once.

A little hint I won't be setting that many for the Easter one though.

They're mixed -- Swedish flower hen, turkins and some type of meat hens I haven't been able to get the name of yet. Fourteen have hatched so far and five eggs are still in the incubator. Today is day 22.
