I hadn't planned to join the hatch-a-long this year as my brooders are already overflowing, but my BCM laid their first egg of the year today so I HAVE TO set it to check fertility, right? And I can't set just one - there has to be at least a dozen in there to make sure I don't have any lonely chicks hatch, right? Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Hi Walli!! Checking fertility is very important! Not having a singleton is very important! I say your story is a good one! Let's see a pic of those gorgeous, dark BCM eggs!

Okay, this is the most variety I have ever incubated together to date. So any suggestion on best way to keep track of the breeds during hatching would be great.

I'm almost ready to set, it's gonna take some creative juggling in about a week when my test hatch pops out but I think I can manage it =) my goose eggs are developing nicely and will be right on time =) have to wait a couple more days to set my bantams tho so they all hatch together. When I've got everything I'm gonna set set I'll post my total on type, breed, quantity all in one. Happy setting everybody =)

I'm trying to decide if I should set all eggs on Sunday or set them as they are laid, setting duck and chicken eggs

I set 46 eggs tonight...I'm just worried about my Coolerbator temps, the temps are quite different throughout it....:/ Not sure what to do
