I have learned that the last few days of incubation r the worst. I am SUPER bored waiting for babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My very first chick! Little April Fool...I have only had one quick show of it's foot...I think the Rooster is a Light Brahma and Hen IS an EE. Cute!

This is the first chick. He looks to be a solid yellow. I have at least two more pips so far this morning. He seems to be worried. Chirping loudly. Maybe the others will hurry up.

NO peeps, pips, chirps or chicks yet. How depressing. Day 20 and it seems everyone is running early but mine.

On a scale from 0-10, how bad is it if I take out 3 chicks from the incubator if there are no pips in the remaining eggs??? We had 3 hatch really early, and I'm worried about one.

So, is 10 bad and 0 not bad, or the other way around? LOL! Anyway, I'd say not bad at all. I always take out my new chicks, they dry faster in the brooder, anyway. If you are worried about losing humidity, you can spritz the eggs with warm distilled water when you open the incubator.
