Congratulations to both of you! I sent you a pm Madelennon. Very cute photos!

I have a Little Giant and killed my entire first hatch with it because the plugs were still in the whole incubation and hatch. It wasn't until after that hatch that I read somewhere that the plugs should be removed no later than day 10 of incubation and remain out for the remainder of the hatch. With them still in the oxygen in the incubator gets too low for the chicks. I would remove them ASAP.

okay but I didn't put them in until day 18 at lock down. That was the directions I got from the dry incubation article on this website. So much to learn!

Congratulations! Great pics cute kiddo's and cute little chick and duck!

I have 5 out, with 3 others pipping and one other BCM that may or may not make it, as it was blowing bubbly stuff when it was pipping.

Should I be worried? A few eggs were shaking last night and one this morning and nothing since. I set on Saturday so day 21 is tomorrow. This is my first hatch. I'm trying to be patient, but seeing all these hatches on here makes me wonder..

But we set earlier. They just want to hatch on their due date. :)

It's totally normal. The eggs shake when they are getting close, but then they take a break and rest before hatching.
