nite lisa, heading to the incu thread lol

did you have any issues with illness during the comb loss? I am thinking about taking the combs and wattles off when I hatch for growouts... have you ever thought of doing that with chicks?

Partial Comb and Wattle Removal in chicks post #36708
No never any illness that I was aware of. I never really considered comb/wattle removal, though it might make sense for some people in some climates. I keep telling myself to switch to a breed that is rose comb or cushion comb, but single comb birds appeal to me, so I haven't gotten their yet.

Noone think I'm ignoring them
I am WAY too busy at work today
I will be back later on tonight

Put a plant..fake one, or two in, let it float at the top..they will hide in there. If you have some plants in there, just pull them up to float. I have had tanks off and on through the yrs. They are fun. The largest one being a 32 gallon. Had it for yrs.

We have only had fish for 4 months now and we enjoy it. We set up a beautiful 45gallon tank in my DDs room and the fish were doing great, but one day the filter stopped working and since we have other spare tanks we have collect we decided to set up a smaller 10 gallon in the living room instead of buying a new filter for the large tank. I do wish we had the 45gallon in the livingroom, but it is DDssince she did her work and found all her fish items for free. Shes thinking of using it for a snake, though she may take the spare 20gallon for a snake and give me the 45gallon for fish

It's official. The other chick did not survive. One of the cats had it and it had already started to decompose.

On the bright side I got the chance to clean and refill the nest boxes. I didn't to water them though. I somehow managed to break the faucet outside and I had to unplug the pump.

I can't catch a break today.
