This doesn't look like a blood ring to me. ?? Do you have your eggs in a turner? And, you are candling from the tip. Could make a difference in appearance. Just a thought.

Ours are on day 10. We cracked the egg, and the embryo was barely starting to develops, so it must have died soon after day 5 candleing. Yes, the incubator is in a cradle, it makes a rotation every hour. Next batch, we won't candle so soon. We are also not using a very bright flashlight. It was the light from our phones. I was not able to get a good quality picture of it either, causing it to look weird in the image.

  Good question..and my question is...how long will a hen take to be fertile once a rooster breeds her, and he is ready?   Will it take only one day to get a fertile egg..two days?  

I know there are a lot of folks with roosters and experience on here with these two questions.     

If you put a rooster in with a hen on Sunday, the eggs will not be fertile on Monday, there is a chance they might be on Tuesday and Wednesday, and by Thursday they will most definitely be fertile.

Wow that's a lot of roosters! Lol and thanks, I'll start looking for one and yeah, I guess it doesn't make sense to get one only to get rid of it lol I'm mostly concerned about the neighbors though and being woken up in the morning. Although my dog is probably louder but are roosters loud in the morning?

When my roosters are closed up in the coop, I can not even hear them in the morning unless I'm in the kitchen, which is near the coop.

Do blood rings always appear all the way around an egg? I saw ''blood rings'' that were just on one side, but there was no development, but there was a air cell, upon cracking them open, they were dead.

OH I just had a round of that junk, can't people just leave well enough alone.

I wish I had the funds to fence that side off but then they would cry because their little flower beds would be on both sides of the fence. Do I gripe no but some people just can't get along but they will learn one day not to shake the trees something just might fall on their head!!
