I see that a lot when I set older eggs. The embryo is usually in the process of dying. It's sad to see it happening.Has anyone ever had a "fake" bloodring? I have a naked neck egg in my bator and it has half a blood ring, and the embryo is still moving! What's going on?
If you put a rooster in with a hen on Sunday, the eggs will not be fertile on Monday, there is a chance they might be on Tuesday and Wednesday, and by Thursday they will most definitely be fertile.
When my roosters are closed up in the coop, I can not even hear them in the morning unless I'm in the kitchen, which is near the coop.
Do blood rings always appear all the way around an egg? I saw ''blood rings'' that were just on one side, but there was no development, but there was a air cell, upon cracking them open, they were dead.
That's how it was, but only on half the lower part of the egg. I candled it yesterday night, and only a small sliver of it still remains so maybe it was just a weird vein. Also, day 9.Here's one with a blood ring. Yours looks like it is darker than this one. Time will tell..how far along again?![]()
Probably. But it seems to have mostly disappeared.I see that a lot when I set older eggs. The embryo is usually in the process of dying. It's sad to see it happening. The spider veins continue to atrophy and the embryo dies.![]()
I wish I had the funds to fence that side off but then they would cry because their little flower beds would be on both sides of the fence. Do I gripe no but some people just can't get along but they will learn one day not to shake the trees something just might fall on their head!!
Someday, when you do have the funds, fence that off! I would have it surveyed and run the fence right down the line. If they have flower beds on your property, they can move them or they're yours. Some people drive me crazy!
I'm glad our neighbors are fairly laid back. They could care less about the chickens roaming around since they rarely venture far enough to make it to their property though I did have to own up the turkeys. They didn't complain about them but I felt bad constantly chasing them out of their yard lol.
The people across the street are totally opposet we had a car scar my birds in his yard so me trying to get them back home ran across chasing them back into the yard Tim was out by his truck ask me "are them your birds " I had to say yes and said I was sorry they were in his yard he laughed and said no problem but I would love to have some eggs when they are laying. Well I was planning on letting them have some anyway lol.
Good fences make good neighbors. Farm fresh eggs make even better neighbors. :cd
