The 8th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!!!!

Three of the four.   I think I have a splash!  I was so hoping I would get one when I saw their photos of theirs.  I have the last one in a cup...leg and feet issues.  Put the tape on last night ...should be able to take it off this afternoon.  It's doing very well, peeping and wanting out.  It's a dark blue..then a light blue, then..a splash, I hope.  It has some dark on it's head..will see.  Should be pretty.

Aww she sounds gorgeous. I'm so glad you had a great hatch rate! I set 4 duck eggs, one was infertile, and the other 3 hatched, that makes a 100% hatch rate! I'm so happy :ya

Oh my, so stinking cute!

Want some?;)

Yes, but I gotta do some research. Can they get up ramps? I have an area I migh be able to turn into a duck run. I've never eaten a duck egg, I'm going to hav to try them and see if I like 'em.

Count me in please. I will be setting 18 or 24 pekin eggs for the Easter Hatch a long! Haven't set eggs for a couple of years so can't wait!

Welcome! More duckling pictures!

I have 22 leghorn eggs hatching this Wednesday. Hopefully I can set some quail eggs on the 25th.

Love me a leghorn!!!   :love

What color leghorns? I love the exchequer coloring!

They sure can.
One of my favourite aspects of them is how personable they are- in general, they're smarter, friendlier, and seem to reason better than chickens.
