The 8th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!!!!

I know that has to be frustrating. Sorry to hear about that. I hope you can find a way to get a successful hatch.

BTW, I have family (dad's side) from NW Oregon - VERY NW: Hammond (Clatsop county) and Astoria. I love that part of the country, and that's where I found my love for chickens. It rains a lot, but but the berries and rhododendron make it so worth it.
They definitely do! I am neighbors with Astoria, less than an hour away. The whole property is completely overrun with berry trees, rhodendendron, and holy, not to mention the magnolia.

Update: I broke another CL egg between my last post and now. :he I'd been having to play musical chairs between my, now, 3 incubators, and knocked my hand, and the egg, into the side of one as I was turning to switch bators. I've had butter fingers lately. :idunno Anyway, I did my second candling, and other than a questionable BCM, everybody still looks great! All 31 of them!:weee :ya :yiipchick

I think someone poured water into it's internal workings. I sure didn't do that, but there is non saying what a man with severe, Stage 3 Alzheimers (who happens to be very nosey and quite the know-it-all) would do to an incubator, is there? Even with the very clear and very large sign that says in big bold letter "DO NOT TOUCH"

Looks like I need a bigger posterboard lol.
Lock it up!! You will be successful. And that purple egg is awesome!

Day 14 already? I was so excited to come home and candle my eggs, ontly to find that my incubator broke. All of the eggs are dead:barnie .

Never give up on them until a couple days after an outage. I've had eggs resume and hatch normally after a day without power. Yeah you can lose some, but usually not all.
