I'm too late for these to count for the HAL, but I will be setting three emu eggs today:

I'll try to set some eggs that will count for the HAL later. Hopefully some geese and maybe some Call ducks.
:clap i might have to make a day trip to VT in a couple months :fl

heck, maybe i'll even bring a couple of call ducks too, lol

Well, the bug has bitten me now. I've been looking through my state stock swap listings, and got a major case of chick fever.

I was planning on hatching from my own, but noticed two different hatching egg sellers that I can't stop thinking about.

One was for Silver Lakenvelder eggs, the other was for Blue laced Red Wyandotte eggs. Now I'm googling info on both, and they look amazing.

I'm leaning towards the Lakenvelder eggs, but we will see...

Well, if you're gonna bribe me with Calls to come see the babies, then of course you can visit :p

I've got a thread going for their progress if you want to follow along :)

@penny1960 That is true, the variety of colors and types really is addicting. :)

Were the ones you grew up with White Leghorns and Rhode Island Reds?

Marans are really sweet, and beautiful as well. Enjoy them!

Okay, so I have 4 cockerels that are doing quite a good job on keeping my girls' eggs fertile, so I am planning on setting them in the incubator in a couple of weeks...

I also have several broody breeds, and I am so tempted to slip a few eggs under them...

And we have 3 local feed stores that are selling adorable chicks...

And MPC has the cutest chicks available...

Why???? :lau
