I just candled one of my banty eggs!

I didn't even know peacocks had a breeding season, I figured they were like chickens. The one hen I wanted to hatch from molted and then decided she hated the rooster after her feathers came back. I put a couple of hers in just in case but they weren't fertile either. Maybe next hatch.

I set another pea egg on Tuesday, so peas are due 4-8 and 4-10. It's a little early in the season, so they might not be fertile.

Breeding season is ~April through July or August. Sorry you didn't get any fertile eggs.

They must be a little smarter than chickens. It's ok about the eggs, I just wanted to see a faverolles/dominique cross.

Breeding season is ~April through July or August. Sorry you didn't get any fertile eggs.

Today is set day for Bobwhite Quail! That's it, all the eggs are incubating!
