Nice hatch so far!

I'm trying to wait patiently for our hatch but the anxiety is horrid!!! After the long wait and poor treatment on our shipped eggs we have 6 out of 18 in, 2 are questionable. We candled on days 8 and 15, planning on doing it again before we go into lockdown. I see so many suggestions on when to go into lockdown....we put in at 10am on the 10th so is it tomorrow for lockdown? On an interesting note one of the little cracked eggs that I bandaged made it to day 15 and looked good!

Lockdown is not that strict of a time. You can work around your own schedule.

I have waited until I see the first external pip to lockdown the eggs. There have been times when I missed lockdown completely and the hatch started on the turner!

They did fine too

you are right there is no strict time, one school hatch was lockdown 4 days early because of a 3 day weekend and they hatch fine.

My ducklings are hatching early! They were supposed to hatch between the 28th and 29th! First pip today at 2pm right after I had a feeling I should remove the turner and lock them down today.
