I've never understood Internal pips... are they pips that haven't broke the membrane yet?I have an internal pip in one of my Ameraucana eggs.![]()
Pips that haven't broken the shell yet. Let me grab a picture.I've never understood Internal pips... are they pips that haven't broke the membrane yet?
I woke up to the stuck chick still stuck so I helped it out. It's alive but not very active.
On day 15 I dropped a green egg on its end and patched it up. It had been pipped nearly as long as the partial zipped egg so I softened the membrane for it as well last night. It hatched but it's way smaller than its full siblings and has a red thing attached to its butt, looks like a placenta. It's walking around peeping.View attachment 1319794
I found 3 dead in the shell also this morning.![]()
Yes chickens. Ok great.
I quickly snatched the cracked eggto remove the wax. Its loudly peeping and I can see it trying to internal pip in there. Any tips how to give it the best shot?
