The 9th Annual BYC Easter Hatchalong!

Ended up with 9 fluffy SLWs, the other 4 were malpositioned and failed to pip. Last 3 were VERY late to the party, a full 30 hours after the others, but they made it. :)

Lost my pics, just found some on my hubby's phone, I bought a camera. Will be practicing taking some pics by end of this week. My before and after of my mini coop! Here's a few pics. My hatching chick, couldn't hardly see the egg, my Marans eggs-supply&demand couldn't get them before Easter for the hatch, my male broody guinea loves the baby keets I got him. They love him, too. It is too cute to see them follow him around the yard. I will in the future. Seeing all these pics is inspiring!

So, I learned:. take the pic of the broody & chicks asap, they get big & feather fast. I need better lighting in the Incubating Room, may put in a ceiling fan with a light! Better heat! Get a good photo of the chick & egg as it's hatching. And you need to have better weather & a good reliable source for the eggs!
