SIL had a tiny bit of a temp and acted like he was bout ready to faint. I was in the middle of a full blown allergy attack and still managed to cook a huge dinner complete with fresh pasta and yeast rolls, did the dishes afterwards and fed all the animals. Can you hear my eyes rolling from way over here?
Curiosity question of the day..........
Do you all get that panicked look when a NON chicken person asks how many chickens you have?(I know I do)
Nothing beats fresh pork. Our boar is Berkshire and the sows are hampshire/red wattle crosses.
you know I have a 2362E Hova Bator as I wanted the turner but not sure it came with it or bought it separate
Not bad.... I was bad this time a friend asked me to put 3 duck eggs in about 10 days after my batch was already going, so I had 3 eggs that still needed turned during lockdown and when everything else hatched I gave it a quick wipe down and put the turner back in and it's still going..... I think I may go back to using my cheap bator as a hatcher for the next go round.... I already have more turkey eggs to put in on SaturdayHow hard was it to clean after the hatch?
I have the Hova 1588 genesis advanced with turner that's flat, rolls the eggs. Am I satisfied with it? As far as how well it works/functions, yes, as far as how well it looks, no. I knew what it was when I ordered it but if I had a do over I wouldn't have. I guess Styrofoam is good insulating, just doesn't look all that durable for the $$.What kind of incubator does everyone have and are you satisfied with it?
I see them on Craigslist occasionally, big ones. Those old Red Wood incubators are very nice too. It usually takes more than $10.00 to fix them though
I have a Brinsea MIni Eco manual. I like it a lot. I've had to fiddle with the temp a bit this go but it's holding steady now. I'll probably work more on adjusting it when I clean it after this hatch. I have a feeling I bumped it with the last cleaning.
Overall I am pleased with the Brinseas and told my husband that I had my eye on Mini II Advanced and got the 'evil' eye as a response. I really don't mind the manual turn though and have no need to hatch out large numbers of eggs so what I have works well for me.
I have the mini advance love it. It has never fail even with shipped eggs. It is use for school hatches also.I have a Brinsea MIni Eco manual. I like it a lot.
