The 9th Annual BYC Easter Hatchalong!

Pics
:weeUpdate it is Day 10 for my eggs in my incubator. So I Candled eggs this morning! I see 4 of my 6 eggs are growing, 1 looks like not fertile and 1 looks like it started but stopped. So:celebrate I am excited! As you all know my first attempt failed miserably. But this Incubator I have now is making it simple. I am extremely:celebrate. I just hope and pray:fl it all goes smoothly the rest of the way.:woot I can't wait, if all goes well I should hatch on Saint Patrick's Day! :thumbsup:bow.

update on the unknown eggs: the breeder said that she’s sure thinks they’re the chocolate orpington eggs and not marans. I’m just gonna have to wait till easter to find out. It’s preety fun to hatch things that you have no idea what their going to be lol.
The Orpington eggs I get from my gals are a little on the pink side.

Welcome to everyone joining us! :frow

I’ve been a bit sparse on BYC the last few days what with the weather as it was, animals and work. Lots of catching up to do!

I’m failing miserably on finding chickens eggs to set but have found some quail locally. So it looks like I will be setting them, fingers crossed :fl

You can get such great breeds!

Can you get Pita Pinta eggs? Hurry before Brexit! Spain and Germany should have them if not the Uk

Looks like we have a week of rain or more coming. Slip and slide here we come.

Going to set up the incubator tonight. Anticipation is killing me. :lau
I am marking some eggs tonight that go into lockdown tomorrow. I plan on setting my eggs for HAL a couple of days early. My DH and my anniversary is on the 10th. Want to be able to leave feeling ok with humidity..no worries when we go out. :)

Our humidity has been quite low. But with the rain and the auto pump to incubator I should be fine. Hopefully no power outages.
