I am running a brinsea ovation 56 ex with humidity pump. I love it my only complaint I had was getting the humidity up for lockdown.... I finally built a hardware cloth "tray" and put a glass pie pan under it to help with up the humidity. That worked well I coversed the hardware cloth with shelf liner.
How hard was it to clean after the hatch?

I'm trying really, really hard not to succumb to the temptations....

Ummm no, not happening. You will not resist.

Oh yeah. I woke up one morning, set down at my computer and saw this as my new wallpaper.

As you can see he has a great sense of humor.

I've really got a great husband here also. He tolerates my habit really well. His only question being 'how many chickens do you REALLY plan to have. The thing is, my chickens are keeping me active. I'm almost 65 physically. Mentally a lot younger and probably a little younger physically also although I have a RA type of arthritis that is really beating me up. Mornings come that I do not feel like dragging myself out to the coops but I do. My chickens depend on me.

DH knows that, knows they are keeping me active and we pay it forward by giving our eggs away to people who need them and as gifts and tips to delivery people who stop by the farm. The girls at the post office gets some, guys at the lumber yard get some and I get my gluteus maximus off the sofa and moving!

Good thing I only have 12 too. :D

You may notice the egg collector on the front that the eggs will roll into. Inside is the loft for their sand bath. They can climb up the ramp, i heard they like that.

Looks nice!

Okay....so I'm not at all strong enough to resist the temptation of the Easter Hatchalong. I just ordered some eggs to be delivered in time to set on Thursday (within the 2 day leeway). I have a friend with a Sportsman that will be incubating the eggs for me. If I have a broody (or broodies) that decides to sit before hatch day, I'll move eggs.

I am a Easter Hatchaholic and I admit it.

See, told ya. :wee

We are a bit behind. Happy has a sick Family and now it is snowing up at her place!

Yep, totally my fault, I'm slackin'.

Oh no. My hubby just got over that flu. Happy, I hope this illness leaves your home sooner than later. My husband got sick, so glad I didn't get it. He was really sick with that cough. Non stop coughing. :(

Thankfully not the flu, but a "nice" bronchitis that makes you want to cough up a lung. Unfortunately, the husband has it........and well..........he's the worst when sick.

SIL had a tiny bit of a temp and acted like he was bout ready to faint. I was in the middle of a full blown allergy attack and still managed to cook a huge dinner complete with fresh pasta and yeast rolls, did the dishes afterwards and fed all the animals. Can you hear my eyes rolling from way over here?
