What kind of incubator does everyone have and are you satisfied with it?

r-com a lot of money, good temp & humidity control = automatic digital, rolls eggs every 1,2, or 3 hours. Got a smaller one on clearance a couple of years ago. Bought a 56 egg incubator, made in China - got 0 to hatch so far. Couldn't get it up to temp. Display push buttons not working. Got with the seller and they want me to check the wiring connections. So now I'm down to last minute and working on finding time today to check the wiring in the digital display. I don't think the plastic cover is thick enough to insulate and keep the heat in - just guessing. We'll see.

I have a cheap Chinese one that I put a cozy over to help with the temp regulation, it also sits next to the plug in room heater..... does ok

One of the reasons I can cover mine is all the works are in the bottom including air vents..... not the same with my brinsea everything is on top I might be able to wrap the bottom but not the top

Nothing beats fresh pork. Our boar is Berkshire and the sows are hampshire/red wattle crosses.

Fresh pork is the best. We have friends that raise one for us every year.

I set my eggs today at 3 pm EST. 27 nice big quail eggs! The pullet egg is strictly for comparison of egg size, not hatching it.

well have three silky's playing broody so all but three from hova bator under those girls
so crossing fingers something hatches

Hi all, we’re going to be setting eggs for the HAL. Not sure what kind or how many yet. DH has the fever this year too. He’s already set up 4 breeding pens and he’s working on the fourth. Unfortunately our BCM Rooster just isn’t doing his job this year. Good news though, he gets to be out on the acre to protect the ladies and we bought Marans chicks from Jeff at Papa’s Poultry.
