The set days are only for the eggs to be counted for the guess the number set, guess the number hatch contests. Everyone is more than welcome to participate in the thread and contests.

Crabapples, i am going to be late. Bator not here yet. Hubby is kind of mad i ordered it. I think he is afraid of chicken math setting in and 200 + chickens again like in TN.

Our humidity has been quite low. But with the rain and the auto pump to incubator I should be fine. Hopefully no power outages.

Humidity has been low here too this winter...Low enough that I have a jade plant that is blooming! That only happens with old jade plants and low humidity

If he is not mating, remove him from the pen where they are and make a new one for him and 5 girls. He may be overwhelmed with that many girls.

If any of y’all live out near me I have loads of EE mix eggs you can grab. I don’t sell them and my girls lay a bunch and we can’t eat them fast enough. I’d be happy to give some out.

My quail eggs were shipped and i didn't want to wait with them just sitting around. Now i went and ordered live quail, 18 juveniles! Quail math! I was afraid my eggs might not hatch.

Looks like I'll have enough eggs to fill the bator by Sat . Girls miraculously started laying. Started collecting a few days ago. Forgot I was going to keep the two coops eggs marked and separated. .. So I'll have to mark some with a ? Lol.

Help! I got my chocolate orp eggs but these look awfully like Maran eggs. What do you guys think? I’m contacting the breeder but she hasn’t answered yet. Thanks! Either way I like both breeds. But I really wanted some chocolate orpingtons in the backyard.

Ps: sorry if the pic is a little hazy, I was in a rush.

Those are dark for Orpington eggs. I have one Jubilee that lays an egg that’s darker than the others, but just a shade of two. Do you know what other birds the seller has, other than Marans?
