The 9th Annual BYC Easter Hatchalong!

I don't think I'll be in this year Maybe some button quail if my babes start laying. I'm a little disappointed, the plan was to get my roo and his gals on Tuesday and set some eggs, but it was delayed and so I'm getting on him on Friday. I'm also away for my brothers birthday on the tenth (pretty much all day) so it probably wouldn't have worked. I'm pretty annoyed, but tbh I probably don't need more chickens...

Oh and not only did they hold them at the PO for me they put them in the break room because it was warmer there. Awesome bunch at the PO.

I'd say! My P.O. is also very accommodating. They see a box that looks like eggs..they call me. They hold them up front by the registers. Those eggs look nice...crossing fingers for you. I have one more day to collect. Then, I'll set them tomorrow. I have some of these from my back yard in right now..some go into lock down Mon. Then, Tues. Then Wed. I didn't wait to put them all together. We will see what happens. So far, all of the 12 I have put in, 11 are going great! I am so excited to see what my green eggs hatch out to be. They are from my Nn girl.

Goats, you forgot goats!

Oooops, I got sick and missed a couple of announcements. Set dates for Call Ducks and Pheasant eggs!

call duck and other bantam ducks: 26 days to hatch; set March 5th
pheasant: 22 to 29 days; set March 2nd - March 9th​

had this 100 gram egg it is huge, may take the three normal green in and through them do a staggered hatch have 2 bators now

my Local PO is great! The service centers are terrible though. I had a box of chicks left out overnight in San Francisco in February one year--live chicks--Most of them died
