They are very cute! Not a great photo, butt here they are. View attachment 1291280 The one at the water must have had the New Hampshire daddy, has quite the golden face and neck. The other 2 white ones look like SBEL's. I can hope.
They look good! How were the air cells?Set these today in modified egg cartons after letting them rest for 24 hours at room temp.View attachment 1291292
Thank you for sharing, I'll be getting some shipped eggs in May! I will definitely try this! The theory is for the eggs to recover from shipping stress. Often the air cells get messed up and resting helps with that. The worst is when the air cells become detached.
A better way is to candle the eggs to see how much damage they have from shipping. The worst eggs get 5 or so days without turning and the best ones can be turned right away.
Eggs should be set into the incubator though. Letting them rest outside the incubator ages the eggs which hurts them too
Thats an excellent question, I tried to look but maybe saw one jiggly and one saddle. The others were nothing so I'm crossing my fingers we are good to go as normal tomorrow. TThey look good! How were the air cells?
Yes, do check them tomorrow. Still put them into the incubator but hold of on turning for a couple of days--when you see the aircells are backThats an excellent question, I tried to look but maybe saw one jiggly and one saddle.
