The 9th Annual BYC Easter Hatchalong!

Like putting the egg in your pocket, running back to the house & getting a dab of honey for their water. By the time my egg made it back to the incubator...... wouldn't doubt if it gets a wonky air cell, too!
Nah, unless you are a real bouncy runner, like me. :wee

She laid another one! Oh yes she did! I only have 4 layers, putting them into a crate watching for set day now. So, I know what's been laid on a day. No one else out there ready to lay, not even close. This egg was small too, but at least was a normal looking one. :d Here is what I have so far, one more is pipping, from the Rock, then the others are staggered for the next couple of days. Strong little things!View attachment 1296323
They do look very healthy!

I think I have solved the mystery. I had a full NN hatch out a group of chicks last fall. She must have gotten hit by my Ameraucana rooster before a fox got him. I only have one Ameraucana hen and I know I collected all the eggs yesterday. There were two blue green eggs in the nest today, and I've seen at least one of the naked necks investigating nest in the few couple weeks. That means I've got a bow tie naked neck girl who lays blue eggs!

I won't be able to see anything due to It only being day 3.... *sigh*
Try tomorrow! Sometimes you can see some development on day 4. 5 is very common with white eggs
