The 9th Annual BYC Easter Hatchalong!

It's snowing the largest flakes we've seen in years! Here is DH coming in After going out to shut the gate. That big flake on his shoulder had already melted some before I got my camera/ phone. The snow looks like streaks coming down. But they are big and round. Pretty cool looking. Had a nice thunder storm earlier. Worried a bit about losing power, but thank goodness we didn't. I love that snow. Thunder storm here as well. Thought the same about the power. Good so far.
Did a quick candle of the shipped eggs. Not looking good. 3 maybes rest were pretty clear. Good thing they sent 6 extras they were however very small for this breed. Going to try all eggs in a minute some of my rooster testing was looking like starts.
ETA rechecked all this morning. My eyes must have been tired. Looks like 8of the shipped eggs have started. Pen one rooster is definitely fertile as well.

I have a grower with a crack, no leakage. No clue how either. Should I tape it, nail polish it, glue?
I use new-skin on cracked eggs. I have a cracked quail egg in the bator right now, actually; it's still alive and well.

This stuff, correct? Worth a shot I assume?

Ok I've painted it on and dried with slightly warm blow dryer to reduce the fumes. I'd already, at set, marked the larger air cell in this egg, hasn't expanded(set Saturday evening). Since it started with a larger air cell I'm going to guess it was already cracked and I missed it.

Learning.
