The 9th Annual BYC Easter Hatchalong!

I set mine on a Saturday night. I believe it was the 10th. But temp has spiked to 102.5 while I’ve been at work this week so I figured that’s it. Been steady the whole time other than that.
That's not too high, they should be fine. (provided your thermometer is accurate)

I saw someone above asking about dewaxing a cracked egg. I have one too, and hadn't heard anything about dewaxing. Is this something i should do?
I've waxed eggs before, but they never made it to lockdown. My idea would be leave it alone and see how it does, it may still hatch on it's own.

I was wondering if the the chicks could share the brooder with a bantam silkie hen, she is in my room for the winter and if the answer is no then things are going to get tricky here in a second...
You might be able to with a Silkie. See if she will brood them. Be careful though she may attack them instead

Nice hatching!
Turkeys are done hatching. I got 3. One had a lot of fluid in the shell and drowned after pipping unfortunately and one pipped internally but never pipped through the shell so it didn't make it either. The 3 that did though are looking good and healthy! Pictures later! Now for the chicks....
Congratulations on the new Turkeys!

Sorry about the one that did not make it

Wheeeeeee I'm so excited!
:wee
I have one external pip. Now I need help.

Three of these eggs are about 10 hours ahead of the others. So I've been raising the humidity slowly since Thursday to split the difference a bit. Through incubation I maintained 38-45%. I'm at about 68% now. Should I go higher? Thanks I'm super nervous.

Also isn't that a big pip? Best pic I could get through the lid.

68% is fine. Humidity will go up as each chick hatches and you do not want to go too high. Chicks suffocate somewhere over 90% humidity
