The 9th Annual BYC Easter Hatchalong!

Congrats on all the new fluff! I'm trying to wait patiently on our first hatch with the 3 survivors. We've lost so many thus far its hard to stay positive. Does it get easier with each hatch or is it always so stressful?!?!
It does get easier, as you figure out what works for you. You have to learn to manage your incubator, humidity, temperature, etc for your area. I still get nervous during lockdown until I hear peeping, but that's it.

My broodies hatch a lot, and that is WAYYYYY easier.

Are they blue double laced barnvelders? ;) *Drooling*
I have standard barnevelders, but I do have a blue male that I kept, and a blue female.

Who knows about Seramas? Just curious if anyone can tell yet what color my just hatched Serama will be?
Whoa. Sounds like a suspicious breeder IMHO. One batch is one thing, but two? In prime mating season? Anyway, I'm so sorry! Do you like English Jubilee Orps? I may have some extra soon! <3

I agree! I think she has fertility issues with both. She doesn't acknowledge my text either, so even more so. I know it is a homeschooled teenager and these are her project. IMHO, with rates like that, while the eggs from my Sizzle breeder are pretty high, with the same incubation environment, age should at least offer me another batch of eggs.

I'd probably like all Orpingtons. They are just so sweet! But I am hesitant to buy shipped eggs anymore unless I'm desperate. I've lost so much money on shipped eggs! Thank you for offering though!

Woke up to 8 Olive Egger chick’s, 3 eggs have pips and one more with no action yet. Looks like at least 11/12!
There is a single Marans baby screaming his fool head off. (He’s alone in another tray.) 3 other Marans are zipping. Let’s go, babies!!!
