I've never moved a nest, but I have taken some chicks away when I thought she could without so many. Didn't bother this particular hen. It makes sense that doing this at night would work better.

Update-Moved her into my closet and she seems normal.Covered her cage up and put cardboard on the cage floor.Shes very aggressive right now. Will definitely leave her in nest for a day with no touching and dragging out to eat,I think it’s best for her to adjust to her nest being in a cage,in the house. After tomorrow I’ll start dragging her out her nest to eat water and feed every few days.

I actually think she would have unbridled outside cause it’s been cold mornings, maybe she will be extra determined with the it being room temperature. She seemed extra determined to keep them warm those past cold days, but it’s warming up,by the time the chicks,if they do,it should be in eighties and seventies hopefully.

This is my first nest moved with a bantam, just didn’t know if she would be easier scared off her nest. She is after all been raised in the house and is much more friendlier then hens I’ve had hatch in the house before.
