The 9th Annual BYC Easter Hatchalong!

This will be my last post because all the chicks I actually hatched are no longer chicks their teens.
Their all doing good other then the fact they constantly keep stretching their necks?No idea why yet.
The fuzzy feet’s are getting along well and are practically just tag alongs since one of the bigger chicks keeps attacking them.The Cochins are five weeks and a day old and the others a four weeks and two days old,accept for the tsc chicks,their still mighty young.The mother hen is still sticking strong with all of them,even though the three she hatched are nearly her size.

The boys are no longer fighting like they were but still go at it hard.Oen or both of the Cochins may be male since their turning red in faces,but just thinking gold one is a dominant pullet between the two of them.

I had to update-
The chicks are doing great and have grown a ton.
The original Cochin bantams both ended up to be girls but the fox issue got worse,he ended up killing one of the Cochins and a hen of mine and tried getting two other hens but they escaped,in dealing with I believ is two foxes
But they have been separated till they are bigger,their liking gret.The batch little bit hatched turned out to be two boys And a girl.

Buffy,she warmed up the most,escpecially after her mother’s death,
She gets in my lap everytime I go in the cage.

The Cochin,the sister,the golden and white one was killed by a fox unfourtently.

The Rhode Island reds,they stick together like glue,ever since the day we got them.

I honestly don't remember what I hatched at Easter I'm going to have to look back and see. Maybe the orpingtons? Lol

So sorry about the foxes in your hen house. I've lost6 of mine and my pen and hen houses are totally enclosed. Couldn't find where they got in but it breaks an animal lovers heart. Have you set live traps?

We want too,for now we have just been invading its territory.Im pretty for sure I am,they say they can be a couple acres to
Miles long,but if he is regularly trying to feed of my hens,and drinking water from my pond,I think he live not maybe but ten acres away in the other field,escpecially since my dog marks all the spots I’m pretty sure he has peed at.Also?i found this poop,does anyone know what scat this is?

Is that corn or berries? It looks similar to raccoon scat.
