I sure hope so!!!!

I would SO love to see pics of Barbara's and Leroy's plaid babies!

And you and MrChickendad are so kind to feed and water the stray instead of just trying to shoo it away. Here's hoping your neighbors realize how important it is to contain their dog, and that they do it.

So glad to hear Barbara and family are doing well in all this cold weather.
I love Barbara and Leroy.

Honeymoon Hotel, Part 2

The sun was shining brightly and the coop door was left open!!! "Yes!!!" thought Barbara, "now we can go outside!" The girls all rushed to the door and stuck their heads out. Cold!

The Food Man threw some scratch around the coop door to give the girls something to do. It gave them something to do all right, because they while they really wanted the scratch, they complained bitterly about having to go outside to get it. Barbara stood in the doorway and watched Leroy run/fly to the safety of the big pine tree. Leroy called and called, but Barbara stayed in the doorway and complained with the other girls. Barbara did not like having cold feet. Leroy had fluffy feathers on his feet, but Barbara’s feet were buck naked!

The Food People were busy all day setting up the Honeymoon Hotel for the chicken couples. They cleaned and disinfected the pens and put clean shavings and fresh food and water in each suite. One of the silly Ameraucana sisters is honeymooning with the handsome Silver, and Bob the Wheaten is in with Marian, the "Blonde" Wheaten. On the other side of the Honeymoon Hotel are the little Buff Cochin couple and the little White Rock couple. Hot Shot is in a bachelor pad to keep himself out of mischief. That leaves the little coop for the little white cochin, Scooter (see earlier story) and his six wives.

The Food Lady will be unable to report on Barbara’s adventures for several days. The Food Lady has to go to the vet and get her bumblefoot taken care of. Actually, the Food Lady is having a triple arthrodesis surgery on her "bumbling" foot on Monday, but Barbara cannot spell that, so she thinks it is bumblefoot. Hopefully, Barbara will save up her adventures for when the Food Lady gets home from the vet’s.

We will miss hearing about Barbara, Mrs. Chickendad, but I certainly hope your surgery goes well for you.
