The adventures of Barbara (BR)

I'm sending more prayers and wishes for successful surgery and recovery for you. It sounds like MrChickendad is the type to take very good care of you. Thank goodness for that.
I'm looking forward to updates on both you and Barbara when the time is right. In the mean time...

ill miss barbara and cant wait for her adventures to be back up!

But i hope your "bumble foot" surgery heals up fast and the vets hands are guided the right way.

Without a doubt when barbara comes back we want some pictures of her and leroy

Thank you everyone who posted their good wishes and prayers—I'll take all the help I can get! I will be in a cast for eight weeks, but figured what better time to be laid up than in the cold cold winter? That way when spring comes, the girls and I can dig in the garden. I will plant it, they will dig it up. Sounds like a plan!

We have chickies due to hatch Tuesday, so I am hoping I will be home in time to supervise. Eight of them are Mille Fleur Cochin project birds from Lynne in California and six are "testers" from our mille cochin and rock bantams. No plaid babies this time!

Thanks for all your support—I'll be back soon! Maybe I will have a story about our Speckled Sussex cockerel, "Stevie" the "Wonder" chicken!

Hope your surgery goes well, Mrs Chickendad!!!!
We will be thinking of you here in snowy Jersey
BTW they closed the zoo because the lemurs went to bed
LOL xxx

Hope all went smoothly with your surgery(praying for a good recovery for you) and good luck with your hatch.

Mrs. Chickendad, best wishes for a speedy recovery. Yours truly had "bumblefoot" last January, too. Broke my ankle in two places, had to have surgery and titanium plate/screw combination installed in both. Take care of yourself and I'm sure Mr. Chickendad will care for Barbara and her partners in adventure till you are better, just like my Speckled Roo did.
