The Chicken Tamer
The Head Chicken Tamer, Chickenboy visited overnight on Friday. He moved the Chicken Taming Headquarters from the Food Palace to the living room. Mrs. Chickendad heard Walter crowing and was surprised to find him sitting on the sofa with Chickenboy. He was being tamed. Pretty soon, Walter was exchanged for Bob, but not before he had left something to remember him by. The Speckled Girl waited until Bob accepted a grape and then gave it to her. By that time, Barbara was back for her third grape. Bob was having to pass out grapes to the four Speckled Girls, and that slowed him down a bit. Barbara and the other Big Girls were certainly not shy and by the time the grapes ran out, their crops were bulging.
Barbara and Leroy ventured into the garage where there were two pens of Babies Growing Up. Barbara had discovered that the Little Babies liked to stand in their feed cups and scratch all the food out onto the floor. It was a free lunch as far as Barbara was concerned. The Little Babies would then cuddle down in the feed cups and sleep. The biggest feed cup had three Little Babies sleeping in it when Mrs. Chickendad went to refill it. This little Wyandotte baby had this one all to himself:
