Anyhow, what does "Freezer Camp" mean? I'm thinking that one or more of my 5 month old cockerels might be getting scholarships there, too.......but they are not certain how to apply.

Our local Freezer Camp is reasonable and efficient. After spending 4 hours processing 2 birds, the Chickendads decided that $2.25 scholarship fee per bird was well worth the money. The boys all came back clean, dressed in a plastic bag and weighed, ready for the freezer. Now I just have to convince myself to cook and eat them.

I found the Adventures of Barbara a week ago and haven't gotten a thing done during my lunch breaks all week! Finally got to page 112 and I have a question. At times I've felt a little like when I was a kid in math class (yuck!) and was given a problem like... " The bus started from SanFrancisco with 14 people aboard and stopped in Las Vegas and let out 3 and took on 21; then stopped in Omaha and dropped off 16 and took on 7, and stopped in .... so, how many were in the bus when it stopped in Boston?" I just haven't been able to keep an accurate picture in my head of how many chickens you have mulching your sidewalks, picking the pink flowers, or tightrope walking the fences, so, what is the total number of chickens that you currently have Mrs. Chickendad?

BTW - Give Barbara my love - she is fabulous! So are you!
