How traumatic!
I'm sure there are a lot of emotions going on. I know how you feel. My dd's dog, who was used to the chickens and never bothered them, one day decided one of my black stars looked like a good playmate. By the time I got out side, Abby, the dog, was standing over the hen with a look of "why won't she get up?" "I was just playing."
Then hen wasn't dead, but I think she had fainted! It took her a while to come to. But she did die about 3 days later.
Then my neighbors jack russell got loose one day and went straight for the chickens. It is hard to get mad at my good neighbors, as they love my chickens and felt so bad. He only got a hold of one. But if the neighbor never acknowledged the attack, It would be a different story!
I always try to live at peace with those around me, But I'm like you, I would feel like tying every dead chicken on their doors and put one in the truck, positioning them so they look like they are watching them! So when they came opened their doors, the chickens would be "looking" them right in the eye!!
I know, It sounds really sick, but it's fun to think about the look on their faces!!
