Oh wow!I have a small river channel that flows as the boundary to my back pasture, but I really want my geese to stay OUT of it.
Lots of turtles, spotted gar, likely alligator gar, and, yes, actual alligators live in there. We had a hatch last year right behind the house and saw the little croakers. And have seen mom and pop and few times while walking along further towards the swamp.
Otherwise it would be perfect. It has a lock just above us, and runs through a dense swamp about a mile below us that would prevent them from going anywhere very easily on it. It has tons of vegetation in it. It is really beautiful, in and 'old Florida' sort of way, and deep. But, as wild as FL waterways are... I'll stick to filling/refilling their pools daily.
