The African and Chinese goose thread!!

I always run an incubator several days before I set eggs. Its also important to have it in a room thats temperature controlled. Room temps changing will affect the incubator also. How long were you away? The egg may be ok.
two hours or so.

This morning when my brother went out to let them out, he said that Elizabeth the female goose was lightly pecking at the buff orpington ducks, then squatting down beside them. Why doesn't she do that to our gander instead?
 
She feels either that she wants to dominant over them or since she is squatting she wants to mate.
The gander is probably still too young.
If you had more ganders then the ganders would have mated with her already but with only one gander it will take time.

Okay. The gander is the same age as her, but apparently not as mature.
