Just candled one egg under the broodies (which was all I dared, lol, even in the dark they were threatening to bite me) and it is developing perfectly. Hopefully they'll continue to be good mothers after the eggs hatch.

I only have 4 cemani hens and now 3 of them are broody. The third one does not even have any eggs under her, just broody in her empty nest. Crazy birds.

I have eggs in the incubator that will likely hatch tomorrow, too. I also hatched a CCL/AC cross that looks like it'll be gorgeous. Might keep that one since it's a pullet.

They look very black in these photos! I'm envious! Oh, wait, I have some growing out finally, too! Mine aren't as old as yours. I couldn't stop hatching the Leghorns long enough to hatch AC. Boy those Leghorns are horny buggers! 12 weeks old and they are READY for the ladies already! Um, no. Just, no. Not yet. Turds.
