My second, 3rd gen, hatch (this time, a FULL Batch) is happening as we speak....
I had one early bird hatch at 20 days...
This first Cemani is WHITE...ALL WHITE with just a bit of black powdering her back...
She is by far the least black genetic freak Ive ever hatched...
Assuming the bird is a female...
She is such a freak... I actually examined the empty egg through the window to see if I accidentally put in ANOTHER egg type.
Nope... It is 100% Cemani...
I might just keep her to see what she turns into...
pictures coming....
In separate Marked batches, I am also hatching out other birds of different types (marans, americanas, orpingtons) to refresh my older egg layers which need to be cycled out.
For research, I can always could toss her in with the rest of my normal replacement egg layers...
Would you guys like for me to do this, to track her here as she grows, so we can all see what the worst cemani ever grows up to look like?
This morning, before I went to work, I had two more pop out...
one is all black but has some white on half its foot (cull city)
The other is all Jet black... no grey butt... all black nails... (woooo hoo, a keeper!)
More news coming once I get home...
