Thanks for the explanation Sonoran, I agree about calling Paints, Paints only if they show spots.
My youngsters are not exactly like the bird you pictured. I am afraid I am so ignorant that I didn't realize there were such a thing as Champagne Silkies, I was just calling mine that for want of a better description.
My camera batteries just died as went to take some pics.....my birds are a clear slightly reddish color all over, non- spotted.
No blotches, just a clear color. They came from the Paint roo and either White or dark Blue hens. Really like some have described as "frosted"
I also have from that mating the red spotted chick. It appears to be spotted??? But not like Three Cedars posted, there is definite white and definite red but if this is called a Paint I don't know. Sure has a red head!!! Maybe with some age?
As soon as the batteries charge I'll get pics and would love to hear your opinion once again.
