Anyone can be a student!
Now for stippling you will either need a good pen or a marker.
I use .7 mm to .25 mm markers. The smaller the finer the detail. If you do decide to really give stippling a go, go get yourself a good pen or marker, most hobby and craft stores carry them!
Now, if you plan on joining my stippling class, I would like to see what the majority as far as drawing utensils.
Whether your using markers, pens, or something entirely different.
I have been having so so luck with pens.
If you are using one, try just touching the paper and leaving a dot. Make a circle of them and fill it in. Are the somewhat the same size, no? Is it leaving marks, dark, half, etc?
Markers, they don't have to be quite that small but the wedge tipped and the big crayola ones won't really work unless you have a very large surface.
Colored ones will work too.
Now if most people don't have them or there are too many problems, I can attempt to teach something else.
I had a pack of these ink pens with (I think...) felt tips... They would have been GREAT for stippling, but they got lost...
I was planning on getting more anyway. Do you think they'll work?
http://www.dickblick.com/products/faber-castell-pitt-artist-pens/ This is what I had, but a different brand

(And they weren't for Manga, but I don't think that matters...
)
Yep, those would work just fine!
