The "Ask Anything" to Nicalandia Thread

I've seen those.

I think my bird has something genetic related, rather then Auto Immune Disease related. All of the things I've read on vitiligo say it effects birds of a few months of age.

Previous posts I've made includes the parents. I can link them here for you, or just repost them.
Yes, I know what you mean. I just kept thinking of the rooster because it did set in when he was older and there were many similarities between your hen and him.

I've seen the photos of the parents and I do agree that the white on the mother's primaries does look very similar to the way the white is spreading on your hen. It does make me lean towards something genetic as well. I was just throwing those past thread out as another idea, but it will definitely take some time and test breeding to figure out what is really going on.

Still looking on thoughts for what these birds are showing. Full pheonixes, they hatch and feather in the same, but then males develop lots more red and red like mottling while the females stay more or less the same with full red chests and barred wings.

But they came from the same male as the recessive Whites and their mothers are either the same as well or are the recessive white

Vitiligo was a thought I had when I noticed, but it just didn't seem right.

It's fine, really.
Doing test breeding next year. Debating whether I should start with the oddball, or her mother first.

I agree that they look dun/khaki, which is a gene that phoenixes are known to have, though I have no idea how it appeared from seemingly black parents. Maybe the parents are actually very dark duns?

I occasionally have "chocolate", "Strawberry", "blonde" and "roan" duckwings pop up as well. I'll have to get new images though of the remaining chocolate. I lost the roan a few months ago to a racoon. Maybe the "roan" was a Khaki and the first "chocolate" was a dun? They were out of the same clutch before Whites popped up.

The male has red bleeding in his black chest feathers, I'll try and get an image tomorrow too of that if he behaves
