Mine didn't decide to lay this year as pullets before the snows came. I can get pics of the 10 I'm keeping if you'd like (2 tufted males, 2 clean males, 2 tufted females, 3 clean females and 1 tufted male back up), and link the image their breeder has of the eggs, but I unfortunately didn't get any eggs this year to even look at

This is the first time I hear that the Rumpless gene is semi lethal. The Tuffs are(Lacking in the rooster in question).

I know it's lethal with two genes. Maybe I misread somewhere.

I am getting over the flu, maybe just a tired brain.

I don't think so. I've also never heard anything except lowered fertility.

Genetics Calculator says 2 copies of the Rumpless gene is lethal .

Hmm. Guess we'll find out next spring if it is. I'll be hatching at least a few batches so I know roughly what to advertise my successes as with that breed when selling eggs.

Hi, these might come off silly but i have a few questions.

If i bred a white japanese bantam rooster (black tipped) with a blue bantam cochin hen, what could i be getting as a end result?

when your writing out genotypes for a bird, are you writing out just the color, or the feather type aswell? I would love learning more about this, are there any articles you recommend?

Black tailed white rooster x blue hen would give you blue chicks and black chicks, both with silver leakage. The males might be silver/gold split depending on the genetics of the mother, so they could have some yellow/red leakage too.
