It's interesting to me that the non-white single laced Cornish is not accepted or even breed for since it's a pretty straight forward matter(just breed out the white out of it)
The bantam Cornish come in Blue Laced Red, which I think is single lacing. So they would produce some with black lacing as well as some with splash lacing. But I haven't seen any hatcheries offering them in the large size.
 
If I wanted to bring Mille Fleur coloring into Cornish batams, would it be better to stay in the breed and breed specific colors together (I want to say mottled and buffed, but maybe it's something else?)? Or to breed it in using a Mille fleur bird that is almost the complete opposite body type?

I was not aware that there were mottled and buff color in Cornish bantams.
 
They're not recognized I believe, but I have seen a breeder in California that has at least mottled (Blue and black) and I'm really thinking she had buffs too. I'll look when I have more time to dig and see what she's got for sale to see what she bred this year
