The "Ask Anything" to Nicalandia Thread

I had the chick below arrive unexpectedly in my last hatch. Dad is supposed to be Blue Australorp and mom is one of the two hens below — the black is a black australorp, and the blue is supposed to be either a Blue Star or Blue Australorp from Ideal Hatchery.

Any idea which one might be mom? And how we got this color pattern? @MysteryChicken theorized that mom is the blue one, who was a mislabeled Blue Cuckoo Maran.

Not my chicken, but what is going on with the color of this rooster. Is that gold lacing on a red base color?

That's an interesting pattern on the males body,

I am not sure what's going on but you can see some interesting pattern on some of the tail feathers.

The chick is showing sex linked barring. I don't see barring on one of the listed hens.

I am not sure what's going on but you can see some interesting pattern on some of the tail feathers.

You mentioned tail feathers. I get the same on my silkies, or Silkie crosses.

The rooster pictured also reminds me of my multicolored EE rooster, but he's blue instead of red, but has red, & lacing on him. But doesn't have pattern in his tail.

Looks like he’s either pure for silver or silver/gold split with mahogany and/or autosomal red causing that red color. Sort of like this rooster, but with more silver leakage:
