The "Ask Anything" to Nicalandia Thread

As long as there is Fibromelanotic in there the EEs will look very dark.
Ok, thank you!
You can also use AC male over Black EE or Black Ameraucana would be the fastest way to get where you want to go.
Would I still be able to have the multicolored roos in that crossing? Is there a way to guarantee that the males would be multicolored?

Ah, I ment the silver/black barred with solid silver hackles/saddles and the barred silver or white/red with the solid red hackels and saddles. I like that version even tho they are not sex linked.

I forgot to hit reply. 😞

What causes, Shiny/Glossy eggs?
My Black Ameraucana is laying now.

Got another question.
My olive Egger lays 3 different colors, Dark Olive, Turquoise, & Dark Olive with Blue outer coating. What causes this bouncing around?
The answers of many of your questions can be found on many of my previous remarks about egg color variation in brown egg shells.

Basically anything that affect the brown deposition will change the green shade. Feed, Sunlight exposure, Egg laying cycle.

It's periodically with her, she laid dark olive yesterday, she just laid me an olive with blue coating today.
Feed's been the same, & daylight has been increasing. Blue coated egg, I wettened in the middle to show it's olive.
