I took this pic this morning. Rocket, so named because on the day I picked her up at the hatchery, I opened the box in the car and she shot out like a rocket.

There’s one of my Cochin bantams! I got her a while back, when I only had a handful of egg layers, and gave her, her 2 sisters, a Cochin roo, and two red sex links to my grandma. She was 8 years old when she was caught by a Fox this past summer. I can’t say whether this is Mami, Prissy, Janja, or Heaven. They were all identical black girls, who occasionally got their toenails painted by younger cousins for identification
This is a picture from last winter, in the warmth of Louisiana.
