Easter eggers are mixed breeds that usually have a pea comb, lay blue or green eggs, have a beard, and have slate or green legs. Ameraucanas are a purebred chicken that only come in a few recognized colors (blue, black, silver, etc. as well as some unrecognized colors, like mottled and lavender), always have a pea comb, lay blue eggs, have a beard, and have slate legs.
