This brought back a nice memory for me...

When I was about 5 my parents and I were in a donut shop one evening and a older man came up to me and started talking to me. He said nearly the same thing to my parents: Wait here I'll be right back.

He went to his car and came back in with a brand new rollerskating doll in her box and gave her to me! I was SOOO excited and thrilled, I played with that doll all the time everyday for weeks. She took batteries and would "skate" across the floor.

I think I remember him telling my parents that he sold toys at the local flea market and that's why he had toys in his car.

It was so sweet of him. Same as the rocking horse man

What a beautiful gift! It is nice there are good people out there who set a great example for the rest of us.

The other day, before I was due for ankle surgery, I was picking up supplies and noted a drop box for clothing for the needy. I have a lot of clean stuff I don't wear anymore and made a point to make a donation one of the first things I do next week when I am feeling better.
