"He's nice. He will fit in Sagemint very well. I think he's lost a great deal of something, as have I, but he just needs a little time." Her eyes teared up a little. "I'm sorry. My Ma abandoned me at two days, which my father did not want, but she killed him." She turned. "I'm sorry, I've... I just..." she broke off. She couldn't say anything else because she did not know what to say.

He gently nuzzled her. "It's alright. You can believe me when I say that I will never leave you." His deep voice assured her.

She looked up at him. Her blue eyes glimmer. "Thank you." She says as she walks away.
