Sitka stalked down to the stream, wanting to get away from everybody.

Jay stood in the shelter of a few bushes, not far from where Ash Fire was tied. His gaze was distant and unfocused, as though his mind was somewhere else.

Dark Falls stood by Jay, watching.



Meanwhile, Lightning was leading the Grulla stallion around, introducing him to other horses.

Wind was giving orders to the guards.

"Now over there is the Great Rock," Lightning was going on, the Grulla nodding occasionaly.

"All of the meetings are held there." Race said as he passed, carrying a message for the other guards.

 

[TechnoCat]

The Grulla only nodded, and Lightning continued speaking.

Foxvalley trotted about the fields.

Jay stood in the shelter of a few bushes, not far from where Ash Fire was tied. His gaze was distant and unfocused, as though his mind was somewhere else.

He turned his head towards Fools Gold "Get him up" He ordered.

The bay stallion turned obediently and hauled Ash Fire to his feet, tieing him so that he couldn't move.

"Welcome to my herd." He said with a hint of a grin.

Behind him, Night coughed.

"Ah, forgive me" Jay grinned "Mine and Night's herd"

Jay turned to face Ash Fire, his icy blue eyes glinting in the moonlight. "I was lying before, when my brother asked me if I recognised you and your friends." He paused for a moment to look at the moon, then continued "I did recognise you, and I-- we" He corrected himself "Have been waiting a long time for the chance to have you here, Ash."

Ash didn't answer, his face was set like stone. He stood as still and silent as a statue. His green eyes were cold as ice.
