Nicole (6) and I brought our BLOB chicks home yesterday evening. What is a BLOB? Well Nicole calls her Buff Orpington Bantams, BOBs. So she is now calling the Black Orpington Bantams, BLOBs. Guess we also have some BLUBs...Blue Orpington Bantams!

Here are the BLOBs.....

We went over to juliechicks to pick them up and noone was home. I called Julie and she said Noah (14) was home. We found him with a flashlight in the woods. He was searching for a missing Buff Silkie hen. Everyone else was on the roost. Nicole thought it was funny that her friend was searching for a chicken with a flashlight. She just kept on giggling! Finally, I took the flashlight and got Noah to go collect the chicks in the house. Nicole just held our transport box and started giggling at ME looking for a chicken with a flashlight. We collected the Blubs and I gave the box to Nicole. She told her "friend" thank you and giggled again! She told me as we left that Noah was her friend and she liked him! If he wasn't such a nice looking fellow and very polite and sweet......I may have an issue with him!

Wonder if he ever found that Buff Silkie hen........

P.S. The BYC Store is welcome to use these photos for another use for the BYC Bumper Stickers!

I'm glad Nicole likes her BLOBS.

I always called them Blorps. The one with the white face is named Mask, according to Ethan.

Oh, and, yes, I found Elvis the Silkie when I got home. She was out in the open right next to a tree. I'm sure you guys were looking in the woods under cover. Silkies aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Is there someone on this thread that is going to Shawnee, OK in December that has show quality Blue Bantam Orpingtons for sale.....I am interested in a trio of mature or older juveniles...Email me privately please if you have a trio and would be able to deliver them to that show. I will be there with large fowl and would be interested in arranging a meeting if someone has some. Thanks so much.

Peggy
